The Betsey Trotwood is a Victorian pub in central London, full of character and history.
Inside, there are three floors. On the ground floor, you’ll find the main bar. Downstairs, in the cellar, you’ll find a great performance venue, and upstairs there’s an acoustic room with an elegant bar.
Outside, there's a small seating area at the front of the pub for watching the world go by.
Looking for great food and drink? We serve a fantastic range of lagers and ales from Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer, and a delicious range of light bites and main meals.
And if you’re looking for entertainment, this really is the place to be. For live comedy fans, we host Jester Jesters every Monday night, showcasing the best in new live comedy, as well as a monthly appearance from Night Howls Comedy Club. The Betsey is also a regular haunt for some pretty familiar faces, including Henning Wehn and Jerry Sadowitz.
In recent years, we’ve gained a reputation on the live music scene as a hotbed for newbies, with a clutch of bands starting at The Betsey and going on to much bigger things.
If you need a venue to host a private function, both the cellar and the upstairs bar are available for private hire. Get in touch with us today to see how we can help!
With so much on offer, we look forward to welcoming you soon!

I love this area of London. Had a busy morning in and around Clerkenwell on business and decided to stop at The Betsey for lunch. Glad I did as was a very pleasant experience. Can well recommend the Fish Finger sandwiches. Welcoming staff and a nice traditional style of pub. Worth a visit.
